Hans Held

Hans grew up in Ontario, Canada and while travelling the world, was fortunate to find a life partner in his wife, Sefi. After a successful career as a teacher in Computer Systems, he retired with Sefi and studied to become certified as a Personal Trainer.

More into the Martial Arts style, Hans gravitated toward Tai Chi, but kept up a practice in Yoga, Pilates and Chi Gong. As retirement became an option, and having traveled a lot, both Hans and Sefi eagerly welcomed the climate of the Baja desert and Los Barriles.

The pace of life changed. Hans teaches a Taoist Tai Chi 24 set, and continues to kiteboard into his seventies by cross-training with Yoga, cycling and hiking…all of which are available in Los Barriles.

Janet Paulson

JP Yoga head shotFor many years, I have been drawn to the transformative power of yoga.

Yoga is a practice that aligns and nourishes the physical body, energizes the mind, soothes the emotions and strengthens the connection to spirit. It is a practice that touches every aspect of our lives.

Yoga meets us where we are regardless of age, physical ability, weight or personal beliefs. The benefits of yoga can be realized from the seat of a chair or from dynamic power classes. It is a life-affirming practice that brings benefits to the individual that ripple out into the world beyond the yoga mat.

After years of practicing yoga, two years ago I completed yoga teacher training through Radiant Health Yoga, a nondenominational hatha yoga that blends ancient yogic practices with contemporary mind-body science. Through my yoga practice and teaching, I want to help others improve quality of life, and by extension, contribute to the health of our planet.
